CHILENJE MISSION DISTRICT

DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS

15th February, 2014


  1. ADMINISTRATION

(a)         
There will
be a meeting for Admin Elders and Pastors tomorrow, Sunday 16th February, 2014
at Libala Church, called by the Conference President. Time is exactly 08:30 hours.
Kindly observe time.

 

(b)        
The
Elders Board which was scheduled for this Sunday has been moved to next Sunday,
23rd February 2014 at Chilenje Main SDA Church. To attend are all serving and
non-serving Elders. Time: 08:30 hours.

 

(c)         
There will
be a Zambia Union Conference School of Evangelism Program at Andrews Motel
starting from 24th February to 1st March, 2014. For those that paid, there are
adjustments on the fees.

 

a). K1,650.00 for those sharing room

b). K1,980.00 single occupancy

c). K510.00 day scholars, this includes registration
and lunch

 

(d)        
Churches and Companies are required to register their
congregations with the Registrar of Societies.

 


  1. STEWARDSHIP

(a)         
The
Stewardship Month continues and all Churches are advised to participate fully
in this program. The Church Stewardship Leaders are advised to be compiling
reports in readiness for the evaluation after the month of emphasis. The list
of preachers for the two weeks (15th 
& 22nd February, 2014) is attached hereto.

 

(b)        
The Local
Church Stewardship Leaders to intensify visitations, to ensure that almost
every church member is visited.

 

(c)         
There will be a Stewardship
Seminar at Njanji Church on 2nd March 2014 starting at 08:00 - 16:30
hours.  To attend are all Treasurers, Stewardship
Leaders and Elders-in-Charge.

 

 

 


  1. FAMILYLIFE

Today is the
end of the Week of Prayer for Family Ministries. The Main Service will be taken
by Stewardship and the afternoon will be shared between Stewardship and Family
Life.

 


  1. MUSIC

There
will be Zone Mass Choir rehearsals tomorrow Sunday, 16th February, 2014 at
Libala Church.  All Musicians willing to
serve at that level are welcome.  Time:
09:00 hours.

 


  1. PUBLISHING

The
Literature Evangelists Training Programme, which was schedule for this Sunday, 16th
February, 2014 has been postponed to 23rd February, 2014 at the same venue -
Arakan Church.  To attend, apart from the
Literature Evangelists are Elders in-charge of Publishing and all Local Church
Publishing Leaders.  Time: 09:00 hours.

 


  1. AMO

All
AMO Local Church Leaders who did not submit their Time Management to the AMO
District Leaders to do so.  For more

  1. YOUTH

(a)         
There will be a Youth
Council meeting tomorrow Sunday, 16th February, 2014 at Njanji
Church.  To attend are all local Youth
Leaders. Bring along the induction reports, K100.00 Affiliation Fee per Church
and K76.00 per Company. Also bring your Time Managements and all should be in
uniforms. Time:09:00 hours.

 

(b)        
There will be a drill squad
meeting at Libala Church tomorrow Sunday, 16th February, 2014 for
all those who are going to SID Camporee. 
All to be in Field Uniform. Time 08:00 to 16:00 hours. Kindly carry
nshima with any other relish for you lunch.

 

(c)         
There will be debate, Quiz
and essay writing on 23rd February, 2014 at Chilenje Main Church. Participation
fee is K30.00 per Church.  Time: 08:00 to
16:00 hours. Kindly carry packed lunch.

 

(d)        
 Registration for S.I.D. Camporee which will be
held in Livingstone from 14th to 21st April, 2014 for the
Pathfinders is still going on. 
Registration fee has been reduced from KR430.00 to K400.00.  The deadline for payments is now 28th
February, 2014.
