DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENTS
20th SEPTEMBER, 2014
a) Churches are reminded that in the month of September, we are commencing the process of putting in place Special Nominating Committees and Nominating Committees to elect 2015 office bearers. Schedule of activities already circulated.
b) The existing Nominating Committees should be dissolved today, 20th September, 2014 before putting in place Special Nominating Committees.
c) All Churches/Companies are urgently requested to approve the names of the Literature Evangelist today, (20th September, 2014) in readiness for training which starts on Sunday, 21st September, 2014.
d) There will be baptism on Sabbath, 27th September, 2014. All Churches/Companies to prepare.
e) There will be special orientation training for members of the Nominating Committee immediately after baptism at Chilenje Main Church on 27th September, 2014.
f) The DPCC and District Council meetings will be held on Sunday, 28th September, 2014 at Arakan Church. Time: 08.30 hours. Kindly observe time.
g) There will be a Conference Music Council on Wednesday, 24th September, 2014 at Libala Church at 09.00 hours.
h) Elders Handbooks are available at the Conference at K30.00. All Elders without the Handbook should ensure that they acquire one.
i) There will be a meeting for all professional Teachers/Lecturers on Sunday, 28th September, 2014 at Libala Church at 09.00 hours.
(a) The District Pathfinder Fair has been moved to 28th September, 2014. Venue is Kabulonga Boys. Each member to pay K10.00 for participation and transport.
(b) All Pathfinders should meet at Njanji Church tomorrow, 21st September, 2014 to prepare for the forthcoming Fair. Time 08.00 hours to 16.00 hours. Carry packed lunch. Further all Pathfinders will be required to meet for rehearsal from Monday, 22nd to Friday, 26th September, 2014. Pathfinder Leaders are requested to take note of these announcements.
(c) The lessons for Adventurers are continuing and will be held every Sunday at Chilenje Main from 14.00 hours to 16.00 hours. This is in preparation for the forthcoming Adventurer Investure Examinations on Sunday, 28th September, 2014 and the Investure Day which will be on Sabbath, 11th October, 2014 at Njanji Church.
(d) There will be a social outing to Kalimba Farms for Adventurers on Sunday, 12th October, 2014. Charges are K35.00 per Adventurer.
(e) The District is informed that the A. Y. District Crusade which was scheduled to start on Sunday, 21st September 2014 through to 4th October, 2014, has been rescheduled to a later date due to unforeseen circumstances. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.
(f) All those who passed Church Heritage examinations and will undergo private assessment next month should meet tomorrow, 21st September, 2014 at Chilenje Main Church at 08.30 hours.
(a) There will be training for Literature Evangelists starting on Sunday, 21st September up to Thursday, 25th September, 2014, at Central Church at 08.00 hours daily. All to carry packed lunch.
(a) There will be an Inter District Music Fellowship on Sunday, 5th October, 2014 at Njanji Church from 08.00 hours to 16.30 hours. Participation fee is K3.00 per singer. Churches and Companies are requested to send their Choirs. Come with packed lunch and observe time.
(a) All Communication Leaders to meet at Arakan Church tomorrow, Sunday, 21st September, 2014 without fail. Time: 08:30 hours to 09:30 hours. The meeting will only last for an hour. Please observe time. Bring along reports for the period July-September, 2014 (3rd Quarter).
(a) There will be a Dorcas General meeting at Njanji Church on
Sunday, 21st September, 2014 at 08.00 hours. All Dorcas Workers to attend. All Society Leaders to come with their Quarterly Reports.
